Professor Alok Kumar Mukherjee

Alok Kumar Mukherjee obtained Ph.D. (Sc) from Visva-Bharati University, Santiniketan in 1977. After a stint (1977-1980) in National Physical Laboratory, New Delhi, he joined Jadavpur University, Kolkata in 1981. He was a Post-doctoral Fellow (1987-1989) at University of York, England. Following retirement in 2015 from Jadavpur University as a Professor, Department of Physics, he was a UGC Emeritus Fellow during 2016-2018. He is author of over 150 research publications in international journals and has supervised 15 Ph.D. students. Since 2019, Prof. Mukherjee has been associated with the NCE Bengal as the Secretary, Institute of Business Management.
